Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Full‑time (Term Time)

About the role

OneSchool Global is seeking a Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join its Colchester campus on a full‑time, term‑time only, permanent basis. You will work closely with teachers to support learning activities across all year groups, helping students become self‑directed learners.

Key responsibilities

• Complement the professional work of teachers by planning and delivering learning activities under supervision.
• Prepare and deliver individual, small‑group or whole‑class sessions across all year groups.
• Provide time‑limited interventions for small groups or one‑to‑one settings.
• Collaborate with teachers on joint‑planning and curriculum implementation.

Required profile

• Experience delivering specific, time‑limited interventions in small groups or 1:1.
• Full working knowledge of current policies, codes of practice and legislation relevant to education.
• Experience working with children of the relevant age in a learning environment.
• Working knowledge of implementing the national curriculum and related programmes.
• Understanding of statutory frameworks relating to teaching and learning.
• Meets Higher Level Teaching Assistant standards or holds equivalent qualifications (NVQ Level 4/5).
