Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full‑time, Chelmsford

About the role

Prospero Teaching is looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a welcoming school in Chelmsford from September. The role involves classroom support, covering lessons and delivering interventions to help pupils achieve their full potential.

Key responsibilities

• Provide classroom support and cover lessons as required.
• Deliver targeted interventions and support whole‑class learning.
• Assist with the implementation of the National Curriculum.
• Maintain up‑to‑date safeguarding records and follow school policies.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver engaging learning activities.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Teaching Assistant or HLTA in a UK school.
• Strong classroom management and confidence leading learning activities.
• Hold the right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS (or be willing to obtain one).
• Two professional child‑related references.
