Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) – Full‑time, KS1 & KS2

About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a primary school in Sittingbourne from October 2026. The role covers both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, requiring flexibility to support pupils individually, in small groups, and in whole‑class settings. You will help drive pupils' learning, progress and wellbeing across a variety of classroom environments.

Key responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group support to pupils, adapting approaches to meet diverse needs.
• Lead whole‑class learning sessions when required, ensuring inclusive participation.
• Collaborate with teachers to plan and deliver differentiated activities across KS1 and KS2.

Required profile

• Relevant HLTA experience or qualifications.
• Experience working with KS1 and/or KS2 pupils.
• Strong classroom management and communication abilities.
• Flexibility, enthusiasm and a commitment to pupil wellbeing.
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
