About the role
We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA) to support a new SEN provision within a faith‑based school. The role focuses on four Year 7 pupils with significant learning or emotional needs, helping them thrive both in the dedicated provision and mainstream classes.
Key responsibilities
- Provide one‑to‑one and small‑group support to four Year 7 students.
- Assist students in mainstream lessons to promote inclusion.
- Encourage independence and confidence in the school environment.
- Maintain a professional appearance in line with the school’s dress code.
Required profile
- Experience working with children who have special educational needs.
- Ability to adapt support to individual student requirements.
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with staff and students.
- Commitment to the school’s faith‑based ethos without challenging its values.
Required skills
- Knowledge of SEN strategies and interventions.
- Effective communication and relationship‑building abilities.
What we offer
- Annual salary £27,800 – £30,000 (Scale 4‑5).
- 30‑hour work week, 8 am‑4 pm onsite.
- Temporary to permanent contract (12‑week fixed‑term leading to permanent).
