Higher Level Teaching Assistant

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join our Salisbury Campus on a full‑time, term‑time basis. You will work closely with teaching staff and the SEND team to deliver personalised learning and support for a named pupil.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑quality learning activities in 1:1, small‑group and occasional whole‑class settings.
• Provide dedicated 1:1 supervision throughout the school day, including breaks and lunchtimes.
• Support the delivery of a bespoke curriculum and act as the pupil’s Key Worker.
• Collaborate with LSCo, SENDCo and specialist teachers to implement EHCP outcomes.
• Provide enhanced supervision for specific activities such as swimming or off‑site trips.

Required profile

• Hold HLTA status or equivalent qualification/experience (e.g., NVQ Level 4/5).
• Experience supporting pupils with additional needs, preferably in a SEND or specialist setting.
• Strong knowledge of safeguarding, SEND frameworks and relevant legislation.
• Resilient, adaptable and proactive in supporting pupil engagement.

Required skills

• HLTA status (NVQ Level 4/5) or equivalent.
