About the role

We are looking for an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in Sittingbourne. The role covers both Key Stage 1 and Key Stage 2, supporting pupils' learning and delivering planned lessons when required.

Key responsibilities

Deliver planned lessons in the teacher's absence across KS1 and KS2.
Support pupils' learning and behaviour in the classroom.
Help create a positive and engaging learning environment.
Collaborate with teachers and staff to enhance pupil outcomes.

Required profile

Previous experience as an HLTA or in a similar primary school role.
Experience supporting pupils across KS1 and KS2.
Confidence delivering whole‑class lessons when needed.
Excellent communication and behaviour management skills.
A positive, flexible and proactive approach.

Required skills
