Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Part‑Time PPA Cover (Primary School)

About the role
A welcoming primary school in Wirral is looking for an experienced Higher Level Teaching Assistant to provide PPA cover on a part‑time basis. You will deliver pre‑planned lessons across several year groups, ensuring continuity of learning while class teachers are on PPA time.
Key responsibilities
- Lead whole‑class teaching using pre‑prepared lesson plans.
- Deliver engaging lessons for nursery to Year 6 pupils.
- Maintain strong classroom management and a positive learning environment.
- Support pupils’ progress and uphold high standards of teaching and learning.
Required profile
- HLTA qualification or equivalent experience.
- Confidence to teach and manage a full class independently.
- Strong behaviour management skills.
- Flexible, organised and able to adapt to different age groups.
- Experience across primary phases is desirable.
