Higher Level Teaching Assistant – Primary School (Colne)

About the role

Veritas Education is partnering with a welcoming primary school in Colne to recruit an enthusiastic Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA). The successful candidate will support teachers, deliver lessons across year groups and help create a positive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver planned lessons across a range of year groups when required.
• Support pupils' learning through targeted intervention groups.
• Collaborate with teachers and senior leaders to raise attainment.
• Provide classroom cover during teacher absence, PPA time and training.
• Support pupils with a range of learning needs, including SEN.
• Contribute to the wider life of the school and promote a positive learning culture.

Required profile

• HLTA status or relevant qualifications and experience.
• Previous experience working within a primary school setting.
• Strong classroom management skills.
• Ability to engage and motivate children of varying abilities.
• Flexible and proactive approach to supporting teaching and learning.
• Excellent communication and organisational skills.
• Genuine passion for helping children achieve their full potential.
