About the role
This temporary position supports a Year 6 class in an Ofsted ‘Outstanding’ primary school in Manchester. It is ideal for aspiring teachers or recent graduates seeking classroom experience before formal teacher training.
Key responsibilities
- Assist the class teacher with daily lesson delivery and classroom management.
- Provide one‑to‑one and group support to pupils to enhance learning outcomes.
- Deliver Personal, Social and Emotional Development (PPA) sessions when required.
- Help organise and supervise classroom activities, ensuring a safe and inclusive environment.
Required profile
- Passionate about education and making a difference for pupils.
- Ability to work independently and use own initiative.
- Degree, QTS or HLTA qualification (or equivalent).
Required skills
- No specific technical skills required.

- Paid rate of £100‑£130 per day (including holiday pay).
