Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist

About the role

We are seeking a Highly Specialist Occupational Therapist to deliver expert clinical services to students across multiple school sites and residential settings. You will join a transdisciplinary team and play a pivotal role in integrating occupational therapy into curriculum planning and delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Provide specialist assessment, treatment, implementation and documentation for a nominated caseload of students.
• Collaborate with teaching and support staff to embed occupational therapy within the curriculum.
• Lead performance management for identified team members.
• Develop and deliver training programmes for staff.

Required profile

• Minimum 4 years of experience, including substantial work with individuals on the Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) continuum.
• Proven experience supervising staff and managing caseloads.
• Degree or Diploma in Occupational Therapy and current HCPC registration.
• Membership of the Royal College of Occupational Therapists (RCOT).

Required skills

• Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
• Organisational and leadership competence.
• Sound IT proficiency.
• In‑depth knowledge of ASD‑related interventions and sensory integration (Level 2 qualification desirable).
