About the role
Prospero Teaching is recruiting a permanent History Teacher for a secondary school near Central London. The role involves delivering engaging History lessons to Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils on a full‑time, term‑time basis.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver engaging History lessons for Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 pupils.
- Mark student work and provide regular, constructive feedback.
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to curriculum planning.
- Maintain accurate records and uphold safeguarding and Prevent duties.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in History.
- Current knowledge of the England National Curriculum for KS3 and KS4.
- Valid teaching qualification and up‑to‑date safeguarding training (within the last year).
- Prevent awareness training completed within the last three years.
- Experience teaching in a secondary setting, either permanently or on a supply basis; open to newly qualified teachers.
- Right to work in the UK and an enhanced DBS with online update service.
- Two professional references covering the past two years.
Required skills
What we offer
- Competitive salary between £36,000 and £63,000 per year.
- Term‑time schedule: 8:15 am – 4:00 pm, Monday‑Friday.
- Permanent full‑time position in a secondary school near Central London.
