About the role
We are seeking a qualified History Teacher to join a good‑rated secondary school in Harlow. The role involves delivering engaging History lessons to students aged 11‑16 across KS3 and KS4, helping them develop critical thinking and a deep appreciation of the past.
Key responsibilities
- Plan and deliver differentiated History lessons for KS3 and KS4.
- Assess, monitor and record student progress, ensuring strong attainment.
- Create an inclusive, stimulating classroom environment.
- Collaborate with the Humanities department on curriculum development and enrichment activities.
- Contribute to intervention programmes, educational visits and extracurricular clubs.
Required profile
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) in England.
- Degree in History or a closely related subject.
- Proven experience teaching History at secondary level (KS3/KS4).
- Strong classroom management and organisational abilities.
- Passion for history and ability to motivate learners of all abilities.
