HLTA SEN (Primary School Support)

About the role

Earlsdon Primary School is looking for an HLTA with SEND responsibility to join its SEND team. The role leads a small team of SEND support staff and works with the SENDCO, teachers and external professionals to plan timetables, rotas and learning activities. It suits someone with proven SEND experience who wants a leadership position in a primary school.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the small team of SEND support staff
• Work with the SENDCO, teachers and external professionals to plan timetables, rotas and learning activities
• Work directly with students with SEND, supporting their academic work, social interactions and emotional well-being
• Help children with SEND access the curriculum and make good progress

Required profile

• Proven SEND experience and experience working in SEND teams
• Experience working in a primary school setting
• Ability to build strong professional relationships with staff, pupils and parents
• First Aid qualification or willingness to train; right to work in the UK
• Enhanced DBS check, safeguarding and pre-employment clearances, and two satisfactory references
