Hoist Operative – Construction Site (Exeter)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Hoist Operative to join a large‑scale commercial construction project in Exeter. You will be responsible for operating passenger and goods hoists, ensuring safe and efficient movement of personnel, equipment and materials across multiple levels of the site.

Key responsibilities

• Operate passenger and goods hoists safely and efficiently.
• Transport site personnel, equipment and materials between levels.
• Carry out daily pre‑use inspections and routine safety checks on hoist equipment.
• Report any faults or defects immediately to supervisors.
• Coordinate with banksmen, supervisors and other site teams to maintain smooth operations.
• Uphold high standards of site health and safety at all times.

Required profile

• Previous experience operating passenger or goods hoists on construction sites.
• Valid CPCS or NPORS Hoist Operator card.
• Strong understanding of site health and safety procedures.
• Reliable, punctual and committed to delivering high‑quality work.

What we offer
