Home Delivery Driver (Temporary)

About the role

We are seeking a Home Delivery Driver to join our Bedford‑based delivery team on a temporary ongoing basis. The role involves delivering white goods, brown goods and bulky items directly to customers' homes while providing a friendly, professional service.

Key responsibilities

• Safely operate a company van and complete scheduled deliveries.
• Deliver a range of items, including heavy goods up to 80‑90 kg, as part of a two‑person team.
• Handle goods with care to avoid damage during transport and delivery.
• Complete delivery paperwork and follow company procedures.
• Perform daily vehicle checks and report any defects.
• Adhere to health and safety and manual handling regulations.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with an acceptable number of penalty points.
• Good physical fitness for regular heavy lifting.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Reliability, punctuality and ability to work well in a team.
• Previous delivery or multi‑drop driving experience is desirable but not essential.

Required skills

• Valid UK driving licence.

What we offer

• Basic pay of £13.48 per hour.
• Van driver allowance of £1.19 per hour on top of the hourly rate.
