Home Manager - Supported Accommodation

About the role

The Home Manager will lead a residential supported accommodation setting for young people in Prescot. You will ensure compliance with Ofsted and statutory standards while creating an inclusive, anti‑oppressive environment that meets each resident’s individual needs.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain full compliance with Ofsted regulations and all statutory quality standards.
• Oversee administrative systems, quality assurance processes and data reporting.
• Manage day‑to‑day operations, health and safety, and the physical upkeep of the home.
• Lead referrals, support planning, risk assessments and casework, ensuring regular reviews.
• Deliver the Independent Living Programme to develop life‑skills and self‑management for residents.
• Address safeguarding and Child Sexual Exploitation concerns promptly.
• Provide supervision, direction and professional development for staff.
• Develop and maintain 24/7 shift rotas and participate in on‑call duties.
• Build relationships with commissioning bodies, social services, families and education providers.
• Manage budgets and financial oversight for the home.

Required profile

• Level 3 Diploma in Working with Children and Young People (or equivalent) – or willingness to work towards it.
• Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Care/Young People (or equivalent).
• Experience in residential or supported accommodation settings for young people.
• Strong understanding of safeguarding, Ofsted standards and data protection legislation.
• Ability to lead teams, develop rotas and manage budgets.
