Home Support Care Worker – Universal Care Companion

About the role

Join Willow Lodge, a pioneering household‑model care home, as a Universal Care Companion. You will provide consistent, person‑centred support to a small community of residents, enjoying stable, contracted hours and a genuine work‑life balance.

Key responsibilities

• Assist residents with all activities of daily living, including personal care, dressing and toileting.
• Prepare and serve nutritious meals, maintain a clean living environment, and manage household chores.
• Support outings, social activities and therapeutic sessions such as dancing.
• Administer medication safely and follow food‑hygiene standards.
• Build meaningful relationships with residents, fostering a warm, homely atmosphere.

Required profile

• Current experience in home or residential care.
• Passion for enabling independence and enhancing quality of life for older adults.
• Reliable, compassionate and a good listener with a “heart of gold”.
• Desire for fixed, predictable hours and to work with the same residents daily.

Required skills

• Medication administration (trained).
• Food hygiene and safe cooking practices.
• Basic caregiving techniques for personal care and mobility assistance.

What we offer

• Full training, including medication and food‑hygiene certification.
• Permanent full‑time contract (£30,201 per annum, pro‑rata).
• 44‑hour week with alternate weekends, flexible to suit personal needs.
