Home Visits Optical Assistant – Flexible Full/Part‑Time

About the role

Join Specsavers as a Home Visits Optical Assistant and bring eye‑care services directly to patients’ homes across South West London and Greater London. You will travel to a variety of locations, providing professional optical dispensing and personalised support to people who cannot visit a store.

Key responsibilities

• Travel to patients’ homes within the designated postcode areas (SW, KT, TW) and deliver full optical services.
• Conduct eye examinations, dispense spectacles and contact lenses, and advise on appropriate solutions.
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with health‑care standards.
• Manage travel schedule, report mileage, and keep the vehicle in good condition.
• Collaborate with the regional team to ensure consistent service quality.

Required profile

• Current or recent experience in an optical setting (minimum 6 months to 1 year).
• Full UK driving licence and access to a personal car.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining a high level of professionalism.
• Flexibility to work full‑time or part‑time (minimum three days per week).

Required skills

• Optical dispensing at all levels.

• Salary up to £28,000 per year, pro‑rated for part‑time.
