Homemaker – Care Home Activities Coordinator

About the role

Join Brunelcare as a Homemaker at our Glastonbury Care Home, where you will create a vibrant, supportive environment for residents. You will organise activities, trips and daily routines that promote independence, enjoyment and wellbeing.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, coordinate and lead a variety of social, recreational and therapeutic activities for residents.
• Arrange outings and trips, ensuring safety and accessibility.
• Support residents with food and drink preparation to enhance the mealtime experience.
• Encourage participation in everyday tasks to foster meaningful occupation.
• Promote independence while providing compassionate assistance as needed.

Required profile

• A warm, spontaneous and caring personality that easily connects with older adults.
• Genuine desire to help residents have fun and feel confident.
• Commitment to staying up‑to‑date with best practices in dementia care and wellbeing.

Required skills

• Ability to organise and deliver engaging activities.
• Competence in supporting meal preparation and mealtime assistance.
• Understanding of dementia care principles.
