Hospitality Host – Care Home Dining Services

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and reliable Host to join our team at Lighthouse Lodge Care Home. In this front‑facing position you will help create a warm, welcoming dining experience for residents, visitors and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain the dining environment, ensuring tables, chairs and décor are tidy and inviting.
• Serve refreshments and support residents during mealtimes, promoting a relaxed atmosphere.
• Work closely with kitchen and care teams to coordinate meal service and address any special dietary needs.
• Uphold high standards of cleanliness, safety and hygiene throughout the dining area.
• Assist residents and visitors with any dining‑related queries or requests.
• Work alternate weekends as part of the rota.

Required profile

• Friendly, approachable and professional demeanor.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.
• Excellent attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Positive, reliable attitude; previous customer‑service experience is a plus but not essential.

• Hourly rate of £12.71 for a 40‑hour week.
