Host & Club Receptionist

About the role

The Pembroke, a historic private members club in Belgravia, is looking for a polished and personable Host & Club Receptionist. You will be the first point of contact for members and guests, delivering a warm, seamless and discreet arrival experience while supporting the wider front‑of‑house team.

Key responsibilities

• Greet members and guests with a professional, welcoming demeanor.
• Manage check‑ins, reservations and booking requests accurately.
• Maintain up‑to‑date member profiles, noting preferences and special requirements.
• Coordinate with restaurant, bar and floor teams to optimise guest flow.
• Assist with table allocation, wait‑lists and real‑time booking adjustments.
• Support VIP arrivals and handle special requests with discretion.
• Keep the reception area tidy and presentable at all times.
• Provide accurate information about club facilities, events and services.
• Handle member enquiries and feedback professionally.
• Uphold data protection, privacy and security standards.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a host, receptionist or front‑of‑house role within luxury hospitality or a private members club.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills with a natural ability to engage guests.
• Professional appearance and polished demeanour.
• Excellent organisational skills and keen attention to detail.
• Ability to multitask and remain composed in a fast‑paced environment.
• Positive, proactive and team‑oriented attitude.

Required skills
