Hotel Duty Manager

About the role

The Hotel Duty Manager will lead front‑office operations across two daily shifts, ensuring smooth guest experiences and efficient team performance at a busy hotel in Uxbridge. This full‑time, contractor position offers a dynamic environment with evenings and weekends.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and motivate the front‑office team by example.
• Operate the Opera Hotel Property Management System for reservations and guest data.
• Support month‑end financial submissions and cash handling.
• Recruit, train, and manage in‑house staff, arranging cover when needed.
• Monitor staff performance, enforce company policies, and maintain accurate timesheets.
• Coordinate with other department managers to align hotel activities.
• Handle guest inquiries, resolve complaints, and ensure high service standards.
• Inspect hotel cleanliness, manage supplies, and oversee public‑area upkeep.
• Analyse financial information and produce required reports.

Required profile

• Proven experience in hotel front‑office or duty‑manager roles.
• Strong leadership and communication abilities.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including evenings and weekends.
• Attention to detail and commitment to service excellence.
