Housekeeper – Care Home

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our brand‑new Castle Lodge Care Home in Mere. Working 40 hours per week on a rotating weekend schedule, you will play a vital part in creating a safe, comfortable and pleasant environment for our residents.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene in resident rooms and communal areas.
• Wash, press, and fold residents' personal clothing and bedding to immaculate condition.
• Conduct thorough cleaning, ensuring no surface is left unchecked.
• Support the care team by promptly addressing any out‑of‑place items or cleanliness concerns.

Required profile

• Proactive, passionate and ambitious attitude.
• Friendly and caring demeanor with the ability to engage well with residents and their families.
• Experience as a housekeeper or laundry assistant is preferred but not essential.
• Basic knowledge or understanding of the care sector.

Required skills

• Exceptional eye for detail.
• Strong commitment to hygiene and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to work on a rotating weekend rota.
