Housekeeper

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeper to join our newly refurbished 18th‑century pub and inn, The King’s Arms, in the heart of Melksham. You will help maintain our 13 modern ensuite rooms and public areas to the highest hospitality standards, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable stay.

Key responsibilities

• Clean and prepare guest rooms, bathrooms, and public spaces daily.
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, linen management, and room presentation.
• Report any maintenance issues promptly to the management team.
• Support the front‑of‑house team during busy periods, including assisting with guest requests.
• Adhere to health and safety, fire safety, and food‑handling regulations.

Required profile

• Passionate about delivering exceptional guest experiences.
• Reliable, detail‑oriented, and able to work independently.
• Flexible to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays.
• Good communication skills and a friendly, professional demeanor.
