Housekeeper – Nursery Environment

About the role

We are looking for a dedicated Housekeeper to maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment at our Busy Bees nursery in Trowbridge. You will ensure that all learning spaces, rooms and communal areas meet the highest standards of hygiene and safety for children, parents and staff.

Key responsibilities

• Perform daily cleaning of classrooms, bathrooms, kitchen and communal areas following established procedures.
• Maintain hygiene standards for toys, equipment and furnishings.
• Monitor stock of cleaning supplies and report any maintenance issues.
• Support infection control measures, including proper waste disposal and sanitisation.
• Collaborate with teaching staff to ensure a tidy environment that supports the Bee Curious curriculum.

Required profile

• Experience in cleaning or housekeeping, preferably in a childcare or educational setting.
• Attention to detail and commitment to health and safety standards.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliability, punctuality and a positive attitude.

Required skills

• Use of cleaning equipment and chemicals safely.
• Basic knowledge of health‑and‑safety regulations.
