Housekeeper – Ward Support (Wirral)

About the role
The Housekeeper will join a ward team on a 7‑day rotating schedule (5 × 7.5‑hour shifts) to help create a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for patients and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Maintain cleaning standards across the ward, including specialist cleaning of surfaces, furnishings and equipment.
- Clean and check wheelchairs, hoists and other specialist equipment according to policy.
- Ensure all ward areas remain tidy, safe and hygienic at all times.
- Identify and report any cleanliness or safety issues to the Ward Manager.
- Support meal service and minor maintenance tasks as directed.
- Uphold strict confidentiality regarding patient information.
Required profile
- Ability to work as an integral part of a multidisciplinary ward team.
- Commitment to enhancing the patient experience through a clean environment.
- Attention to detail and proactive problem‑identification.
- Willingness to follow cleaning policies and health‑and‑safety procedures.
