About the role
We are looking for a flexible, part‑time Bank Housekeeping Assistant to join our Barchester care home team. In this casual role you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents, visitors and staff.
Key responsibilities
- Perform a variety of cleaning and housekeeping tasks across the care home, including bedrooms, bathrooms, communal areas and kitchens.
- Ensure all areas meet health and safety standards and are ready for resident use.
- Support the regular housekeeping team by covering annual leave, sick leave or unexpected absences.
- Report any maintenance issues or safety hazards to senior staff promptly.
Required profile
- A caring and personable attitude with a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable residents.
- Reliability, punctuality and a strong attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast‑paced environment.
Required skills
- Practical housekeeping and cleaning skills.
