About the role

As a Housekeeping Assistant at Floryn House Care Home, you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for residents and staff. The role combines cleaning duties with laundry support, contributing directly to the comfort and dignity of 73 residents.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
• Maintain and tidy shared spaces, ensuring a pleasant atmosphere.
• Perform laundry tasks including washing, drying, ironing and correctly labeling clothing.
• Follow infection‑control, health‑and‑safety and housekeeping procedures.
• Work collaboratively with the wider care team to ensure efficient service delivery.

Required profile

• Positive, reliable attitude with good attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
