About the role

Join Meadowvale Care Home in Bathgate as a Housekeeping Assistant, where you will help maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for residents. This hands‑on position combines cleaning duties with laundry support, directly contributing to the comfort and dignity of those in our care.

Key responsibilities

• Clean residents' rooms, bathrooms, and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
• Perform laundry tasks including washing, drying, ironing, and correctly returning clothing.
• Label and handle laundry items with care to ensure proper identification.
• Follow infection‑control, health‑and‑safety, and housekeeping procedures.
• Collaborate with the wider care team to ensure a well‑organised environment.

Required profile

• Positive and reliable attitude.
• Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good communication skills.
• Understanding of hygiene and infection control is beneficial.
• Previous experience in cleaning or laundry is welcomed but not essential.

Required skills

• Operation of laundry equipment.
• Basic cleaning techniques.
