Housekeeping Laundry Assistant

About the role
Join the team at Etive House Care Home in the scenic village of Benderloch near Oban. As a Housekeeping Laundry Assistant you will help maintain a clean, safe and welcoming environment for up to 62 residents while supporting daily laundry operations.
Key responsibilities
- Clean resident rooms, bathrooms and communal areas to high hygiene standards.
- Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, ironing and correctly labeling clothing and linens.
- Follow infection‑control, health and safety, and housekeeping procedures.
- Work collaboratively with the wider care team to ensure a comfortable living environment.
Required profile
- Positive, reliable attitude.
- Good attention to detail and organisational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Clear communication skills.
Required skills
- Basic understanding of hygiene and infection‑control practices (beneficial).
What we offer
- £12.71 per hour on a 32‑hour contract.
- Paid PVG, pension and uniform provided.
- 5.6 weeks annual leave (full‑time equivalent).
