Housing and Recovery Worker

About the role
This temporary position supports vulnerable adults who are homeless or at risk of homelessness within a leading Housing Association. You will help clients improve wellbeing, connect with their community and develop the skills needed for independent living.
Key responsibilities
- Manage a caseload of 18+ service users across two supported living accommodations.
- Liaise with housing agencies and local authority to secure referrals and assist with homelessness applications.
- Provide practical support including budgeting, debt management, employment guidance, health and safety, and benefit claims.
- Conduct regular key‑working sessions and create personalised support plans.
- Assess rough sleepers in the community and arrange suitable move‑on options that meet Decent Homes standards.
Required profile
- Enhanced DBS on the update service.
- Full driving licence.
- Experience supporting vulnerable clients in housing or homelessness pathways.
Required skills
- Ability to assess client needs and develop tailored support plans.
- Strong communication and liaison skills with external agencies.
- Knowledge of housing benefits, welfare systems and local authority processes.
What we offer
- Hourly rate of £13.85 plus holiday pay.
- 22.5 hours per week, with potential extension beyond October.
