Housing Asset Data Manager

About the role

Our client, a London Local Authority, is looking for a Housing Asset Data Manager to lead the collection, maintenance and analysis of housing asset information. The role will support strategic investment decisions across a large residential portfolio.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain and develop the council’s housing asset data systems and databases.
• Ensure data quality, integrity and up‑to‑date stock condition, compliance and property information.
• Analyse stock condition data with surveyors and produce performance reports and dashboards.
• Develop insights and management information to inform investment planning and service delivery.
• Streamline reporting processes and support business intelligence tools.
• Collaborate with asset managers, surveyors and operational teams to meet compliance and capital investment programmes.

Required profile

• Experience managing housing asset, property or compliance data within a local authority, housing association or similar.
• Strong understanding of asset management principles and property data.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Advanced Excel
• Power BI
• SQL or similar reporting/BI tools
• Experience with asset management software (e.g., Keystone, MRI, Civica, Northgate, Orchard)
