Housing Contract Manager

About the role

The Housing Contract Manager will lead the development and oversight of contracts related to housing services, ensuring compliance and performance across all agreements. This role is based in London and works closely with internal teams, providers and local authorities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain a comprehensive contract management framework covering leases, management agreements and SLAs.
• Establish governance and assurance structures to monitor contractual performance, compliance and risk.
• Act as the subject‑matter expert on contractual obligations, providing guidance to colleagues.
• Conduct audits and reviews to ensure adherence to legislation, regulation and internal policy.
• Monitor provider performance against KPIs, service standards and statutory requirements.
• Identify contractual and operational risks, leading corrective action plans.
• Manage relationships with partners, providers, local authorities and internal stakeholders.
• Investigate, document and resolve contractual breaches, escalating when necessary.
• Lead contract variations, change control and change‑in‑law activities.
• Produce high‑quality reports and insights for senior management and the Board.
• Drive continuous improvement in contract management processes and reporting.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of contract law and housing sector regulations.
• Proven experience in managing complex contracts and supplier relationships.
• Excellent analytical and problem‑solving abilities.
• Ability to work independently and influence senior stakeholders.
