Housing Customer Service Officer

About the role

This is a hybrid, full‑time position based in Lyndhurst, with 50% of the working week in the office. The role is temporary, covering a busy winter period and supporting the transition to permanent part‑time positions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑class customer service via telephone, face‑to‑face and web enquiries.
• Offer information, advice and guidance on a wide range of housing services.
• Process customer payments and maintain accurate financial records.
• Raise repair requests and book or reschedule appointments.
• Record comments, compliments and complaints in line with procedures.
• Process internal transactions, bookings and daily reconciliations where required.
• Maintain accurate records using multiple software systems and databases.
• Ensure work complies with service standards, policies and procedures.
• Support achievement of service performance targets and provide general administrative assistance.

Required profile

• Previous experience in a customer service or contact‑centre environment.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong IT proficiency, especially with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook.
