Housing Disrepair Fee Earner

About the role

We are seeking a motivated professional to manage a caseload of claimant Housing Disrepair matters, from initial instruction through to settlement or trial. The role offers a flexible hybrid model, with one day per week in our Bolton office and the remainder remote.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end Housing Disrepair claims, ensuring procedural compliance and high client care.
• Draft letters of claim, pleadings, witness statements, court documents and settlement paperwork.
• Liaise with surveyors, medical experts, local authorities and housing associations to gather evidence and assess liability.
• Conduct settlement negotiations, prepare trial bundles and support litigation strategy.

Required profile

• Open to Legal Assistants, Paralegals, Fee Earners, Litigation Executives, Chartered Legal Executives and Solicitors.
• Experience in Housing Disrepair or broader claimant/civil litigation preferred.
• Ability to work autonomously with strong organisational and communication skills.
• Familiarity with the Civil Procedure Rules and case‑management systems is advantageous.
