About the role
Join a leading law firm’s Housing department as a Litigation Paralegal. You will support a busy team handling both publicly funded and privately funded housing matters, reporting directly to the Department Director and working from the London office.
Key responsibilities
- Assist with a wide range of housing cases including homelessness, disrepair, eviction, possession, property ownership disputes, succession for tenants and neighbourhood problems.
- Attend clients, take instructions, prepare case files and manage correspondence.
- Maintain accurate time‑costing records and ensure compliance with file‑management procedures.
- Implement supervisor recommendations following monthly file reviews.
- Represent clients at various court levels, including higher courts and judicial review proceedings.
Required profile
- Law degree with a strong academic record.
- Demonstrated passion and experience in publicly funded housing law.
- Professional, proactive approach with excellent client‑care skills.
- Ability to work sensitively with vulnerable clients and handle complex legal issues.
