Housing Litigation Solicitor – Leeds

About the role

We are seeking two experienced Housing Litigation Solicitors to join our Leeds office. Working within a nationally recognised Housing team, you will provide specialist advice and representation to both landlords and tenants on a wide range of housing matters.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Department Director and take responsibility for all aspects of housing work.
• Manage a diverse caseload of public and private housing matters, including homelessness applications, disrepair claims, eviction and possession proceedings, property ownership disputes, unlawful eviction, succession rights and neighbourhood anti‑social behaviour issues.
• Conduct advocacy in court where appropriate and represent clients at all court levels, including the High Court.
• Attend clients, take instructions, prepare case files and correspondence.
• Maintain accurate time‑recording and costing procedures.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor with a strong background in housing law.
• Proven ability to manage complex caseloads and provide technical expertise to the team.
• Excellent client handling skills and the capacity to work independently.
• Experience of advocacy in housing litigation, including judicial review matters.
