Housing Litigation Solicitor – London

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier law firm recognised by The Legal 500 and Chambers, is seeking two dedicated Housing Litigation Solicitors for a permanent position in London. The role is suitable for newly qualified solicitors up to three years PQE, offering exposure to a diverse range of housing matters.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Department Director and manage a varied housing caseload.
• Handle homelessness applications and appeals, disrepair claims, eviction and possession proceedings, property ownership disputes, unlawful eviction cases, succession rights, and anti‑social behaviour issues.
• Provide advocacy in court and alternative dispute resolution where appropriate.
• Take client instructions, prepare case files, manage correspondence and maintain accurate time‑costing records.
• Implement supervisory recommendations and ensure compliance with file‑management standards.

Required profile

• Valid practising certificate at the time of application.
• Strong team player with the ability to adapt to new challenges.
• Previous supervisory experience and a track record of meeting key performance indicators.
• Pro‑active approach with excellent client‑care skills, especially for vulnerable clients.
