Housing Litigation Solicitor – Nottingham

About the role

Our client, a top‑tier law firm recognised in The Legal 500, is seeking a dedicated Housing Litigation Solicitor to join its Nottingham office. You will work within a highly regarded Housing team, providing specialist advice and representation to landlords and tenants across a range of disputes.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Department Director and manage a diverse caseload of housing matters.
• Handle homelessness applications and appeals, disrepair claims, eviction and possession proceedings, and property ownership disputes.
• Represent clients in court for unlawful eviction cases and prepare judicial review applications.
• Conduct advocacy, attend client meetings, take instructions and prepare case files.
• Maintain accurate time‑recording, correspondence and file‑management procedures.
• Implement supervisory recommendations and ensure compliance with performance standards.

Required profile

• Clean, valid practising certificate at the time of application.
• Proven supervisory experience and ability to work to key performance indicators.
• Committed team player with a proactive approach and excellent client‑care skills.
• Experience handling vulnerable clients and complex housing disputes.

Required skills

• Legal research and case drafting.
• Advocacy and courtroom representation.
• Effective case management and time‑costing.
