Housing Litigation Solicitor – Nottingham

About the role

Duncan Lewis Solicitors is looking for a qualified Housing Litigation Solicitor to join its Nottingham office. The successful candidate will handle a full range of housing disputes for both landlords and tenants, covering legal‑aid and privately funded matters.

Key responsibilities

• Report directly to the Housing Department Director and take responsibility for all aspects of housing work.
• Manage a caseload of disrepair, eviction, succession, homelessness, debt and possession matters.
• Provide technical expertise and guidance to junior team members where appropriate.
• Represent clients at all court levels, including the High Court and Higher Courts, and handle judicial review claims.
• Prepare and submit legal documents, attend hearings and negotiate settlements.

Required profile

• Qualified solicitor regulated by the Solicitors Regulation Authority.
• Demonstrated experience in housing litigation, including both legal‑aid and private work.
• Ability to manage cases independently and meet deadlines.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Willingness to work in a hybrid model, based in Nottingham.
