Housing Maintenance Officer (Part‑time)

About the role

We are looking for a part‑time Housing Maintenance Officer to join Aquaden Housing Solutions in Milton Keynes. Working four days a week, you will help keep our homes safe, comfortable and well‑maintained for vulnerable tenants.

Key responsibilities

• Carry out minor DIY tasks such as plumbing, decorating, gardening and general repairs.
• Identify larger or specialist repairs and liaise with approved contractors.
• Conduct regular property inspections, record findings and follow‑up actions.
• Maintain accurate records of inspections, works completed and tenant communications.
• Communicate with tenants to understand their needs and provide appropriate support.
• Coordinate with care providers to ensure integrated support for residents.
• Ensure compliance with health‑ and safety, fire and housing quality regulations.

Required profile

• Previous experience in property or housing maintenance.
• Clean driving licence.
• Eligibility for a DBS check (cost covered by Aquaden).
• Basic computer literacy for reporting and inspections.
• Strong communication skills and patience when working with vulnerable individuals.
• Proactive, flexible and solution‑focused attitude.
• Good time‑management and ability to work well within a team.
