Housing Officer / Assistant – Temporary (Glasgow)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced Housing Officer or Housing Assistant to join a busy, customer‑focused housing team on a temporary basis. The role supports a well‑established social housing organisation in Glasgow, helping to improve the lives of local residents.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a designated housing patch and provide tenancy management support.
• Handle tenant enquiries and resolve housing‑related issues.
• Support allocations, voids and lettings processes.
• Assist with rent arrears recovery and income management activities.
• Investigate anti‑social behaviour complaints and tenancy breaches.
• Conduct home visits and estate management inspections.
• Maintain accurate housing records and case notes.
• Deliver a high standard of customer service to tenants and stakeholders.

Required profile

• Previous experience as a Housing Officer, Housing Assistant or in a similar housing management role.
• Knowledge of social housing legislation and best practice.
• Excellent communication and customer‑service abilities.
• Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritise workload effectively.
• Strong IT skills with experience updating housing management systems.
• Full UK driving licence and access to transport (advantageous).
