Housing Officer – Intensive Management (Part‑time)

About the role

This part‑time, permanent position is based in Ealing, West London and supports vulnerable residents in a scheme‑based environment. You will work on‑site, carrying out intensive housing management, building safety checks and resident wellbeing monitoring.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct regular building inspections, identify maintenance needs and report repairs.
• Maintain building safety through patrols, CCTV monitoring, alarm testing and accurate record‑keeping.
• Manage contractor access, act as key holder and supervise service deliveries.
• Support viewings, sign‑ups and help new residents settle into accommodation.
• Explain housing policies, encourage resident involvement and signpost support services.
• Monitor resident wellbeing, report safeguarding concerns and build positive relationships with residents and external partners.
• Prepare void rooms for allocation, including cleaning duties and needle sweeps where required.

Required profile

• GCSE level or equivalent in Maths and English (grades A*–C).
• Experience in a customer‑facing role and working with vulnerable people, preferably homeless residents.
• Experience maintaining building health and safety standards, including regular inspections.
• Ability to use IT packages and management information systems.
• Valid driving licence and access to own vehicle (essential).
