Housing Supply Officer

About the role

The Housing Supply Officer will work within Three Rivers District Council to help residents find suitable homes and navigate the local housing system. This full‑time, permanent position involves providing clear, compassionate advice and supporting people through often stressful housing decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Assist members of the public in accessing appropriate housing options.
• Provide advice on the Housing Register and Choice Based Lettings processes.
• Maintain accurate records and update the housing database.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external partners to facilitate placements.
• Respond to enquiries and resolve issues in a timely, empathetic manner.

Required profile

• Experience working with the public in a housing or social care context.
• Ability to handle emotive situations with sensitivity and professionalism.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to delivering high‑quality service to residents.
