Housing Support Worker – Support for Young People Leaving Care

About the role

Join a dedicated team delivering high‑quality housing support to young people transitioning out of care across Kent. You will work directly with children, young adults and unaccompanied asylum‑seeking youth to help them achieve independent living.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a caseload of up to eight young people, following individual support plans.
• Develop and reinforce independent living skills such as budgeting, education, and social participation.
• Provide on‑call assistance to service users, staff, social services and management as required.
• Record detailed activity logs and maintain accurate case notes.
• Attend weekly virtual and monthly in‑person meetings to share updates and coordinate with Housing Officers.
• Identify and sign‑post safeguarding concerns in line with organisational policies.

Required profile

• Full UK driving licence with access to a personal vehicle for daily travel.
• Right to work in the UK without sponsorship.
• Experience or interest in supporting young people leaving care.
• Ability to work 40 hours per week, Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑5 pm.
