HR Adviser – Generalist (Hybrid, Chichester)

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HR Adviser to join our team in Chichester on a hybrid basis. You will provide comprehensive generalist HR advice and support to managers and employees across a busy organisation, helping to maintain a positive and compliant workplace.

Key responsibilities

• Manage employee relations casework including conduct, performance, grievances, disciplinary matters, sickness absence, and bullying/harassment.
• Provide HR generalist advice aligned with employment law, company policies and best practice.
• Support Senior HR Business Partners and HR Business Partners in delivering People Plans, organisational change, restructures and TUPE processes.
• Escalate complex cases to senior HR colleagues or specialist teams as appropriate.
• Research and resolve HR issues, contributing to policy and procedure reviews.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering HR generalist advice to managers and employees.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build credible relationships.
• Commercially focused, professional approach to HR problem‑solving.
• Confidence in researching and interpreting employment legislation.
• Desirable: CIPD Level 5 qualification or equivalent experience.
