HR Advisor – 12‑Month Fixed‑Term Contract

About the role

We are partnering with a well‑established organisation in Bath to recruit an experienced HR Advisor on a 12‑month fixed‑term basis. The role sits within a busy HR team and focuses on employee relations, supporting managers through a period of organisational change and delivering pragmatic HR advice.

Key responsibilities

• Manage a varied employee relations caseload, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence, performance and capability cases.
• Provide practical HR advice and guidance to managers across the business.
• Support organisational change projects, including restructures and TUPE activity.
• Advise on HR policies, procedures and employment legislation.
• Coach and support managers to ensure consistent, compliant people‑management practices.
• Assist with employee lifecycle activities such as onboarding, probation reviews and off‑boarding.
• Maintain accurate employee records and HR documentation.
• Contribute to wider HR projects and initiatives as required.

Required profile

• Strong employee relations experience in a fast‑paced environment.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Proven ability to advise managers on a wide range of HR matters.
• Highly organised with the capacity to manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive, hands‑on approach with strong attention to detail.
• Available to start immediately or at very short notice.

Required skills

What we offer

• Salary up to £45,000 per year, dependent on experience.
• 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
• Hybrid working model – three days in the Bath office and two days remote.
