HR Advisor – Employee Relations & Engagement

About the role

The Ashdown Group is seeking an experienced HR Advisor to join its fast‑moving HR team on a three‑month contract. Based in Harrow, you will work on‑site five days a week, supporting the broader HR function and driving employee engagement across the organisation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide day‑to‑day advice on employee relations matters and act as an escalation point for complex issues.
• Lead performance‑management processes and support managers in handling performance discussions.
• Develop and promote best‑practice HR policies and procedures.
• Assist with employee engagement initiatives and help maintain a positive workplace culture.
• Collaborate with senior HR colleagues to ensure compliance with employment legislation.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an HR Advisor or similar HR generalist role.
• Strong understanding of HR best practice and employment law.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Proactive, solution‑focused attitude with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
• CIPD qualification is advantageous but not essential.
