About the role

We are looking for an HR Advisor to support UK employees throughout the employee lifecycle, providing guidance on recruitment, performance, retention and employee relations. The role serves as the first point of contact for managers and staff on ER matters, ensuring a compliant and supportive workplace.

Key responsibilities

  • Provide advice, guidance, and coaching to managers and colleagues on employee relations and people matters.
  • Review and draft UK HR policies, ensuring alignment with legislation and D&I commitments.
  • Lead investigations into grievances, disciplinary and performance issues.
  • Support managers with long‑term sickness absence management.
  • Collaborate with the global HR team to maintain the global appraisal system in the HRIS.
  • Manage staff relationships, respond to queries and set expectations.
  • Advise on recruitment and selection strategies and train hiring managers.
  • Review and update job descriptions, conduct exit interviews and analyse trends.
  • Prepare costings for the global training budget.
  • Attend employment law updates and seminars.
  • Assist the Group HR Manager as required.
  • Implement, maintain and operate the HRIS and related software platforms.
  • Identify process improvement, automation and security opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot system issues with IT and users.
  • Support people data analytics and reporting, developing procedures and documentation.

Required profile

  • Proven experience in HR, especially employee relations and HR policy development.
  • Strong knowledge of UK employment law and HR best practices.
  • Experience working with HRIS systems and data analytics.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to deliver training and coaching sessions.
  • No supervisory or budgetary responsibilities required.

  • Salary £38,000‑£40,000 per year
