HR Advisor – Employee Relations & People Partner

About the role

This HR Advisor role will act as a trusted partner to managers, helping to create positive employee experiences and support a high‑performing, inclusive workplace. You’ll join a collaborative People team, providing expert guidance across the employee lifecycle and contributing to continuous improvement initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Provide guidance to managers on employee relations matters such as absence, disciplinary, grievance, capability, performance, flexible working and workplace conflict.
• Support organisational change, restructures and consultation processes.
• Advise on employment legislation, policies and HR best practice to ensure compliant decision‑making.
• Work with the People function to deliver initiatives covering performance, learning and development, engagement and wellbeing.
• Produce HR data and insights to support informed business decisions and continuous improvement.
• Assist in developing People policies, processes and projects that enhance the employee experience.

Required profile

• Previous generalist HR experience within an in‑house environment.
• Proven ability to manage a complex employee relations caseload and coach managers.
• Strong knowledge of UK employment law and employee relations processes.
• Experience supporting managers across a broad range of people matters.
• Ability to interpret HR data and contribute to process improvements.
• CIPD qualification (qualified, part‑qualified or working towards it) is desirable.
